Mac Murchadha Advisors was founded by Bill Murphy in 2018 to advise asset managers on developing actionable marketing strategies.
Bill has fifteen plus years of financial services experience; ten plus years as an asset allocator, two plus years in Capital Strategy at Bank of America, and most recently a year as a Partner and Head of Business Development for a start-up hedge fund.
At Bank of America Bill was a Director in the Capital Strategy Group, and was responsible for advising prime brokerage clients on hedge fund trends and investor insights and then translating this in to a capital raising strategy. Prior to Bank of America, Bill spent four years at Massey Quick Simon & Co., where he was responsible for sourcing, researching, and monitoring investment opportunities over a range of strategies and structures. He also spent five years at Shepherd Kaplan Krochuck in Boston where was a member of the Management and Investment Committee, and spent one year as an Investment Operations Manager at Northern Trust Global Advisors.
Bill earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University’s Three-Year Honors Program and was captain of the school’s varsity baseball team. He holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
Bill is on the All-Star Committee for DREAM (formerly Harlem RBI). He has also been coaching since 2015 and is extremely proud of his team for winning the RBI City Championship in 2015, 2018, & 2019.
